Exchange-Listed Firms’ Capital Raising Expands 44.5 Percent

Publicly-traded companies on Tehran Stock Exchange and Iran Fara Bourse had a total of 9.6 trillion rials ($237.3 million) added to their share capitals during the first month of the current fiscal year (March 21-April 20), indicating a 44.5% jump year-on-year.
Out of the aggregate amount, 1.9 trillion rials ($46.9 million) were raised through issuing bonus share and 7.9 trillion rials ($190.4 million) through selling preferred stocks, Mehr News Agency reported.
TSE, established in 1967, is Iran’s largest exchange with a market capitalization of 3.67 quadrillion rials ($87.4 billion), followed by the smaller IFB with a market cap of 615 trillion rials ($14.6 billion rials).
