Iran capital market’s trade value reached 2.47 quadrillion rials ($58.8 billion) in the last fiscal year (ended March 20, 2018), growing 26.6% compared to the year before, the head of Securities and Exchange Organization said. Shapour Mohammadi made the remark at the inauguration of the 11th International Exhibition of Exchange, Bank and Insurance, otherwise known as FINEX, on Monday, IRNA reported. Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index, TEDPIX, grew by 24.7% in the last fiscal year to close at 96,290.
The smaller over-the-counter exchange Iran Fara Bourse’s benchmark index, IFX, gained 25% to end the year at 1,097.
