Iran Capital Market Hosted 200 New Foreign Investors in 2017

The Central Securities Depository of Iran issued 200 trading codes for foreign investors in 2017, the deputy head of CSDI, Fariba Akhavan, announced.

The newcomers included 95 institutional and 105 non-institutional investors from regional countries and Europe, bringing the total number of foreign investors in Iran’s capital market to 979. Currently, foreign investors from the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Poland, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, China, the Netherlands, India, Turkey, Lebanon, South Africa, Japan, Cyprus, Italy, the UAE, Norway, Greece, Indonesia, Maldives, Canada, Hong Kong, Qatar, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Luxembourg, Kuwait, New Zealand, Malaysia, South Korea, Georgia, Armenia, Virgin Islands, Afghanistan and Nigeria are trading in Iran’s capital market, Mehr News Agency reported.
