Gold coin prices recorded multiple rallies in the past month to reach their highest value in Tehran’s market on Monday. After significant leaps in recent days, Emami gold coin fetched 14.41 million rials ($351.4)–the highest price in nearly six years. This is while the price of the benchmark gold coin hovered around 12.95 million rials ($315.85) about a month ago, Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union’s website reported. Emami gold coin gained 250,000 rials on Monday, which indicates a 1.8% jump compared to Sunday’s close. The other benchmark gold coin, Bahar Azadi, changed hands for 13.61 million rials ($331.95) to mark a rise of 200,000 rials or a 1.5% growth compared to its previous day. Half and Quarter Bahar Azadi both gained 150,000 rials on Monday and sold for 7.26 million rials ($177.7) and 4.14 million rials ($100.9), respectively.
