Close to 10,190 tons of motor oil worth nearly 242 billion rials ($7.43 million) were exported from Iran to 18 countries during the five months to August 22, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration announced. Pakistan with more than $4.53 million worth of purchases was the main customer of Iranian motor oil. Other main export destinations for the product were India, Cameron, Georgia, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Somalia and Afghanistan, Mizan Online news agency reported. A total of 376 million liters of engine oil were produced by Iran’s four major companies, namely Behran Oil Company (129 million liters), Iranol Oil Company (109 million liters), Sepahan Oil Company (73 million liters) and Pars Oil & Gas Company (65 million liters) in the last Iranian year (March 2016-17), registering a 7% rise compared with the year before, ILNA reported, citing Consumers and Producers Protection Organization’s data.
