127 Foreign Traders in Iran Equity Market

The Central Securities Depository of Iran issued 10 new trading codes for foreign institutional investors from the United Kingdom, Georgia, Armenia, the UAE, Nigeria, Iraq and Afghanistan to trade in Iran’s equity market during the Iranian month ending Oct. 21, says the CSDI head, Mohammad Reza Mohseni. “This brings the total number of foreign institutional investors to 127,” he added. Mohseni noted that 726 trading codes have been issued for foreign traders ever since 1994. Apart from the above-mentioned countries, foreign traders from the United States, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Uzbekistan, China, the Netherlands, India, Turkey, Lebanon, South Africa, Japan, Cyprus, Italy, Norway, Greece, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Syria and Malaysia are trading in Iran’s equity market, ILNA reported.
