More than 63,000 tons of phosphate concentrate were produced by Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex from March 2015 to February 2016, indicating a 30% rise compared with the same period of a year ago, Iranian Mines and Mineral Industries Development and Renovation Organization reported on its website. Esfordi complex, located in Yazd Province, is the only producer of 36.5% pure phosphate concentrate in Iran with a 50,000-ton annual production capacity. Phosphate concentrate is used in the production of paint, chemical fertilizers, detergents and animal and poultry feed.
