Bank Ayandeh’s financial management application, HADAF, and Bank Maskan’s two-factor authentication system won the fifth Nourbakhsh Festival Award for innovation in the banking system. HADAF allows users to have full control over their earnings and expenses. Two-factor authentication systems provide identification of users by combining two different components like codes, physical characteristics of users or objects they own. Tejarat Bank’s mobile payment system, SimorghPay, Bank Parsian’s cloud computing system, Bank Mellat’s TV-Banking and Bank Pasargad’s biometric authentication system were among other nominees for receiving awards in banks’ category, the Monetary and Banking Research Institute reported on Wednesday. Rayan Eqtesad Novin, Isun Corporation and Tiamnet were also winners in the non-bank category for developing open-banking infrastructure, mobile recharge credit system and intelligent monitoring platform, respectively. The late Mohsen Nourbakhsh (1948-2003) was governor of the Central Bank of Iran for two terms (1981–86 and 1994–2003). The CBI holds an annual festival to commemorate his services by awarding banks and non-banking institutions active in successful innovation.
