Most of the companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange underperformed on Sunday with the benchmark inching up 16 points or 0.02% to settle at 64,467.3.
TSE data illustrate that the Price Index perked up 6.4 points or 0.02% to close at 25,484.7. The First Market Index was down 15.1 points or 0.03% to stand at 45,663.8. The Second Market Index gained 179 points or 0.13% to reach 137,998. The Industry Index advanced 18.2 points or 0.03% to settle at 53,119.1. The Free Float Index edged down 32.7 points or 0.04% to end at 72,679.6. The TSE 30 Index rose 0.2 point or 0.01% to hit 2,853 and the TSE 50 Index added 1.3 points or 0.05% to reach 2,645.2.
More than 589 shares changed hands valued at around $43 million.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company with 26.52 points gave the biggest boost to the TSE gauge followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Eghtesad Novin Bank with 14 and 12 points respectively.
Telecommunications Company of Iran with -14.94 points was the biggest of laggards followed by Mobile Telecommunications Company of Iran and Iran Khodro with -14.33 and -10.3 points respectively.
