Close to 385,000 tons of various commodities were offered at the spot market of the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Tuesday trading.

According to IME public relations, the oil and petrochemical trading floor recorded the offering of 53,000 tons of various polymers styrene butadiene rubber, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polyethylene terephthalate, low and high density polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyvinylchloride by local petrochemical complexes.

In addition, 105,671 tons of bitumen for different applications was supplied by Jey Oil Refining Company as well as 10,000 tons of vacuum bottoms, and 2,000 tons of sulfur.

Elsewhere, the export trading floor played host to 126,750 tons of various grades bitumen, offered by Pasargad Oil Company, besides 100 tons of roof insulation in a bid to be traded in overseas markets.

The IME report also noted that 20,000 tons of steel slab C by Hormozgan Steel Company, priced at 12,800 rials per kg, 1,112 tons of I-beams by Isfahan Steel Company and 800 tons of aluminum ingot 99.75-percent purity with the base price of 67,223 rials per kg were offered on the industrial and mineral trading floor.

And the agricultural trading floor for its part featured around 12,760 tons of corn and 3,065 tons of rice for local customers.

Most analysts believe the recent deal between Iran and the P5+1 is expected to significantly increase the trade volume and value in the IME within the coming months.
