Chery Arrizo 6 Debuted in Tehran

The largest private automaker Modiran Vehicle Manufacturing Co., a partner of China’s Chery, unveiled the Arrizo 6 sedan on Friday in Tehran.

The car will be showcased during the Tehran International Auto Show slated for November 13-17, Asb-e Bokhar news website reported.

According to the company, if all goes well, the car will be in the market in December in two versions differing only slightly in the interior design and the number of airbags.

MVM has not said how much the new models would cost.

Arrizo 6 features Chery’s signature grille design and a pair of sporty-looking head-lamps with “7” shaped daytime running lights. At the back, the triangular-shaped taillights are pierced by a line of chrome decoration which spans the rear.

The model is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine producing 108kW in power and 210nm in torque. It will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

Currently, MVM sells 10 models bearing Chery’s badge in Iran ranging from small hatchbacks to SUVs.
