Pars Khodro, a subsidiary of SAIPA, has announced an increase in the price of Brilliance models with upgraded engines.
Three models, namely H320, H330 and C3, have been upgraded and will be equipped with 1,650 cc engines.
According to Pars Khodro’s website the H330 with manual transmission is priced at 501 million rials ($10,500) up from 475 million rials ($10,000). The same model with automatic transmission is now sold for 607 million rials ($12,700) up from 572 million rials ($12,000).
The price of H320 has risen from 555 million rials to 582 million rials ($11,600 to $12,200). C3, which was sold for 580 million rials ($12,200), is now offered at 612 million rials ($13,000).
Pars Khodro started presales of the new cars on Monday and has promised to deliver the vehicles within three weeks from the date of purchase.
The Chinese-derived vehicles were formerly equipped with a 1,498 cc engines which generated 103 horsepower with a torque of 138 Newton meters. The new engine, however, produces 114 horsepower with a torque of 154 nm.
The interior trim of the new cars has changed to black with red stitching.
