Production of seven cars stopped in the Iranian calendar month that ended on December 21.
The models included Rayen Khodro's Voleex C30 and Kerman Motor Company's Lifan 620. During the same time last year, 22 and 97 units of the models were produced by the two companies.
Meanwhile, Modiran Khodro also stopped producing the MVM 530 and MVM 110 in the same month. A year-on-year comparison shows that the company produced 201 and 244 units of the two models respectively, ISNA reported Saturday.
Also during the same month Bahman Motor pulled the breaks on the production of its 4x4 LandMark. This is while the production of two models from Diar Khodro, the Sabrina and Great Wall M4 also ceased. The company had made 199 Sabrina's and only one Great Wall M4 in the same period a year before.
All the named models are Chinese brands and due to poor quality they are losing their customers in Iran. This could also be due to the fact that newer models are expected to enter the country soon.
