Decline in Iran's Trade With UK

Iran traded 142,094 tons worth $0.3 million with the UK during the first Iranian month (March 21-April 20), registering a 26.26% and 16.33% decline in tonnage and value respectively compared with the year before, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
The UK was Iran's 14th biggest trading partner during the period under review.
Iran’s exports to the UK stood at 267 tons worth $486,145 to register a 92.67% and 83.59% decrease in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. 
The UK was Iran’s 53rd export destination in the world.
Iran exported animal hide, floorings, flower, date, food products and watermelons to UK during the month.
It exported 141,827 tons of commodities worth $69.81 million to Iran, down by 24.98% and 13.87% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. 
The UK was the eighth exporter of goods to Iran during the period.
Iran mainly imported oilcake, field corn, machinery parts, day-old chicken and vehicles from the UK.
