Cuban and Iranian enterprises were expected to sign agreements for cooperation in the fields of public health, commercial investment, energy, agriculture and sports.
The agreements were lined up for the two-day 17th session of Cuban-Iranian Inter-Governmental Commission, which opened on Tuesday, the Cuban Foreign Trade and Investment reported.
The event was attended by officials and businessmen who discussed economic and financial collaboration and investment, the official state news agency of Cuba Prensa Latina reported on Wednesday.
The 17th session was preceded by the visit of Cuban Vice President of the Council of State and Ministers Roberto Morales to Iran in December 2017.
It was also preceded by sustained contacts, within the framework of the 73rd Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in September 2018, between Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani, to review proposals for collaboration in the field of health.
