Tehran-Mashhad Flights Report Highest Passenger Traffic 

A total of 707 flights were operated from Tehran to Mashhad during the 10th month of the current Iranian year (Dec. 22, 2022-Jan. 20), transporting 95,762 passengers to top the list of domestic air routes with the highest passenger traffic.
A total of 98,561 passengers were flown from Mashhad to Tehran during the period via 706 direct flights.
Tehran-Kish route came next, followed by Kish-Tehran and Tehran-Shiraz. 
A total of 2.67 million passengers were transported by Iranian airlines on domestic routes during the month, unchanged compared to the similar period of the preceding year, new data released by Iran Airports Company show. 
The number of takeoffs and landings saw a 3% decline to 22,899. 
A total of 22.44 million tons of cargo were transported during the month under review, 5% more than in the previous year's 21.42 million tons, the report added.
Mehrabad International Airport accounted for 1.09 million of the total number of transported passengers, up 4%. It handled 9,244 landings and takeoffs during the period, considerably higher than those of other Iranian airports.
Mashhad International Airport and Shiraz International Airport followed with 430,081 and 171,123 passengers, respectively.
