Qom Exports Reach $57m in Four Months

Exports from Qom Province stood at 63,000 tons worth $57 million in the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), registering a 115% and 42% growth in weight and value respectively year-on-year.
According Mojtaba Farhadi, a local official, plastic materials, metal products, light and heavy hydrocarbons, dairy products, copper wire, shoes and slippers, synthetic fibers, aluminum, machinery and zinc were the main exported products from Qom to 40 countries during the period under review.
Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the UAE, Germany, India, Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan were most important export destinations.
“Bulgaria, Syria, Kenya, Kuwait, Romania, Italy, Lebanon, Tajikistan, Macedonia, Spain, Qatar and Ivory Coast have been added to Qom Province’s export destinations in the current fiscal year [started March 21],” the official was quoted as saying by IRNA.
