Iran traded $2.18 billion with its 15 neighboring countries in the first month of the current fiscal year (March 21-April 20) to register an 18% growth compared with the same period of last year.
Latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show Iran’s exports stood at $962.6 billion during the month, indicating a slight decrease compared with last year’s $1.05 billion.
Imports increased from $796.3 million to $1.22 billion, thanks to resumption of business activities in some of the regional countries.
Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, Oman, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Armenia, the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are Iran’s 15 neighboring countries.
