Greenhouse Expansion on Track in Iran

A total of 1,476 hectares of greenhouses were built and expanded across Iran in the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20-Aug. 21), according to the deputy agriculture minister for horticultural affairs.
“Around 761.9 hectares of these greenhouses were expanded and the remaining 714.1 hectares were newly-built and launched,” Mohammad Ali Tahmasebi was also quoted as saying by ILNA.
The official noted that the government has planned the establishment and expansion of 4,600 hectares of greenhouses to be built and expanded by the end of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021), of which more than 32% of this goal have been materialized.
