Trade With Africa at $570m in 11 Months

Iran’s commercial exchanges with African states amounted to $570 million during the 11 months to Feb. 19 to witness a 6% decline compared with the corresponding period of the year before, according to the director general of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran’s Arab-African Affairs Office.
Farzad Piltan added that exports saw a 22% growth in tonnage, ILNA reported.
Iran’s main exports to Africa include liquified gas, iron and steel products, cement, floorings, Vaseline, urea, raisins, paraffin, engine oil, bitumen, biscuits and chemicals. 
The main commodities imported into Iran from Africa are cacao bean, sunflower oil, palm oil, tea, phosphate, sesame seed, tobacco, fruits and legume.
Iran’s main export destinations in the African continent are Egypt, Kenya, Sudan, South Africa, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Libya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Somalia and Djibouti.
Top African exporters to Iran include Ghana, Ethiopia, South Africa, Tanzania, Sudan, Egypt, Kenya, Tunisia and Zambia.
