Cultural Heritage Ministry’s Next Budget Tops $90m

The government has considered a budget of 12.8 trillion rials ($93.77 million) for the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism in the next fiscal year (starting March 20, 2020).
The budget shows a 13.57% rise compared with its last year budget.
However, with regard to the over 40% inflation in Iran, the budget will be contractionary.
Broken up, the total budget is made up of 5.47 trillion rials ($40 million) for the ministry to finance its current expenditures, in addition to 7.33 trillion rials ($53.69 million) for investment purposes.
The two abovementioned figures indicate a 23.21% and 7.31% growth respectively compared with last year, Donya-e-Eqtesad reported. 
President Hassan Rouhani submitted the government’s budget to the parliament on Sunday.
