Tehran Stocks posted the second big loss in two straight sessions on Monday amid retail investors struggling to exit the market and the nonstop outflow of capital.
The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 21,805.53 points or 1.74 to retreat to 1,234,707.
Retail trade dropped 23% to 24.45 trillion rials ($87 million). The market featured net capital outflow by retail investors for the 23rd consecutive session with exit liquidity reaching 4.16 trillion rials ($14.8m) on Monday.
About 5.85 billion shares worth 32.8 trillion rials ($117.2m) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Padideh Shimi Gharn Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5% to 23,110 rials per share.
Pardis Petrochemical Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies losing 4.99% to 127,870 rials per share.
The National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company and Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company.
Iran Khodro Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Tehran Oil Refining Company, Saipa auto company and Padideh Shimi Gharn Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 112.11 points or 0.65% to close Monday trade at 17,242. About 4.7 billion shares and securities worth 1,577.33 trillion rials ($5.6 billion) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company, Marun Petrochemical Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company and Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Sarcheshmeh Copper Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Omid Taban Hour Energy Management Company, Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company and Kerman Province Development Investment Company.
