Extending a declining trend foreign exchange and gold prices dropped again in Tehran on Thursday. The dollar fell below 235,000 rials and the Emami gold coin was below the 100 million rials mark. 
One greenback fetched 234,900 rials losing 1,600 rials or 0.7%.  The euro lost more than 1,250 rials to reach 286,530 rials, down 0.45%, and the UK pound sterling was worth 329,440 rials or 0.34% lower compared to the earlier session. The UAE dirham was quoted at 64,800 rials down 0.9%.
The dollar closed unchanged in licensed exchange shops affiliated to the Central Bank of Iran and was quoted at 232,310 rials
