Azerbaijan's ambassador to Iran met with Tabriz Chamber of Commerce officials and called for expansion of collaborations in the field of automotive industries.
On Tuesday, Bunyad Huseynov met Chairman of Tabriz Chamber of Commerce Younes Jaele and said, "The Baku government is keen to strengthen trade ties with Iran in agriculture, food, machinery and automotive industries,” Tejarat News reported.
Huseynov added that the 74% growth in Azerbaijan's trade with Iran is a sign of the interest of the people and officials of the two countries to expand relations. 
The Azeri envoy emphasized the necessity of expanding collaborations at Khazar Car Company, an automotive joint venture between Iran Khodro and AzerMash OJSC, stressing that in addition to addressing the needs of Azeri auto market, exports have always been on the bilateral agenda. 
Jaele highlighted the economic capacities of East Azarbaijan Province and called for cooperation with industrial and economic activists. 
“Dispatching economic and trade delegations to carry out joint venture investment projects is one of the effective measures for expanding economic cooperation,” he said.
