Farmanfarma Gallery Pays Tribute to Jahangir Darvish

Paper Memories is the name given to an exhibition commemorating the prominent designer Jahangir Darvish on his 85th birth anniversary. Born in Varamin, a city in southeast of Tehran Province, Darvish is best known for designing the Takhti Stadium, opened in 1973, in east Tehran. The stadium is part of Takhti Sport Complex.

Darvish studied architecture at the College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran and moved to Italy where he received his master’s and doctorate degree in architecture.

The exhibit, curated by Yasaman-Dokht Dabbagh, opened at Farmanfarma Gallery in Tehran on Friday and will run through September 4, Honaronline wrote.  It includes a selection of architectural sketches Darvish created in his youth.

The gallery is located at No. 2 A’rabi Alley, North Kheradmand Street, Karimkhan Avenue.
