Sakoo Art School in Tehran hosted the first painting exhibition by veteran actor and assistant director Reza Babak on Friday.
According to the director of the school Narges Soleymanzadeh, the exhibit paid tribute to Babak’s professional achievements.
The event showcased 30 works Babak created during the past three decades, Iranart.ir wrote on its Persian website. The one-day show was received warmly by art lovers.
Babak, 73, started his acting career in theater but later switched to cinema. He has acted in over 15 films and 50 TV series.
His famous films include “Ballad of Tara” directed by Bahram Beyzaei (1979), “Reyhaneh” by Alireza Raeisian (1990) and “The Singing Cat” by Kambuzia Partovi in 1991.
However, what made him a household name was his performance in the leading role of the popular TV dramas ‘Ziba Barbershop” by Marzieh Boroumand in 1990 and “Our House” by Masoud Keramati in 2000.
