Linguist Anvari to Be Honored at Dehkhoda Institute

Linguist and researcher Hassan Anvari will be honored in a ceremony on the 139th birth anniversary of the celebrated Persian linguist Ali Akbar Dehkhoda at the International Centre for Persian Studies in Tehran on Monday.
Anvari, 84, who taught Persian literature at Kharazmi University in Tehran, is an authority in his field and has devoted a great part of his life doing research in Persian literature. 
He is one of the authors of Dehkhoda Dictionary Encyclopedia, which is the largest comprehensive Persian encyclopedia ever published, comprising 16 volumes and over 27,000 pages with more than 340,000 entries.
