Twelve Iranian architecture groups are among the final winners of the 2017 2A Asia Architecture Award.
The winners were announced on Oct. 20 at a ceremony held at Estrel Hotel of Berlin, Germany, and organized by 2A Magazine in the presence of the head of the award organizing committee, Iranian architecture publisher and researcher, Ahmad Zohadi.
For this year’s 2A award, 473 projects were submitted, of which 31 projects in seven categories won the top three awards, the event’s website announced.
All the submissions were assessed by the jury in line with the award’s main goals defined as, “to identify essences of architecture in Asia and to glorify the importance of social and cultural identity and significance of spirituality along with physical aspects of architecture”.
