Iranian songstress Simin Ghanem will perform live at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on August 24-25.
Performed exclusively for female audiences, the concert will present several of her memorable songs from previous decades, Honaronline reported.
At her upcoming concerts, she will sing songs including ‘Gol-e Pamchal’ (primrose), ‘My Man’, ‘Apple’, ‘Blue Sky’, ‘Ring’ and ‘Restless’.
In the performance, she will be accompanied by Forough Fazli (playing the piano), Azadeh Shams, (violin), Niloofar Ebrahimi (flute), Armina Jafari (drums) and Sara Ahmadi (daf).
One of the few lady singers in the country, Ghanem, 73, was born in the northern town of Tonekabon in Mazandaran Province. She had her first performance in 1968 but her career kicked off officially in 1969 at the age of 25.
The veteran artist is best known for the song ‘Gole Goldun’ (Pot Flower) which is one of the greatest hits by a female vocalist to this day in the country.
