Representatives from the International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts (IETM) will attend the 35th Fajr International Theater Festival (FITF) in Tehran from January 20-30.
A network of over 500 performing arts organizations and individual members working in the performing arts worldwide, IETM will attend the upcoming edition of FITF with 22 representatives from Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Slovenia, France, Turkey, Egypt, Italy and Hungary, among others.
The delegates will include company managers, producers, researchers and academicians who will also hold talks with theater artists and practitioners in Iran, according to Iran Theater (theater.ir).
“On January 26, a meeting between the delegates and Iranian theater directors and producers is planned by the Culture Ministry’s Performing Arts Department,” said Mehrdad Rayani Makhsous, head of the department’s international affairs.
“Our purpose is to establish direct connection between Iranian artists and European theater companies and representatives. We are trying to expand our artistic activities and, in cooperation with artists, keep pace with international events and movements,” he added.
IETM advocates the value of the arts and culture in a changing world and empowers performing arts professionals through access to international connections, knowledge and a dynamic forum for exchange.
