Artwork by Iranian artist Rozita Sharafjahan has been added to the permanent collection of Bilotti Ruggi d’Aragona Museum in Cosenza, Italy.
One of her works from the ‘Sixth Desire’ series, which was displayed at an exhibition organized by the museum and Azad Art Gallery last December, has been transferred to the museum, Honaronline reported.
A mix of digital print and embroidery or sewn thread on canvas, her piece was created in 2011 and is one of her latest works.
Iranian advisor to the museum Navid Azimi-Sajadi, an art expert currently living in Rome, had a major role in the selection of Sharafjahan’s artwork for the museum collection.
Born in Tehran, Sharafjahan, 54, is a post-graduate of art research from the University of Tehran. She has held several solo and group exhibitions in Tehran, Shanghai, Vienna, Athens, Rome, Tokyo and Zagreb.
