The average Consumer Price Index for the "education" group in the 12-month period ending April 19, which marks the end of the first month of the current Iranian year, increased by 21.7% compared with last year’s corresponding period. 
With a coefficient of 1.86%, CPI stood at 173.4 last month, indicating no change compared with the month before.
The education group’s CPI index registered a year-on-year increase of 20.2%, the Statistical Center of Iran reported.
The overall average annual inflation stood at 32.2% in the month.
The overall CPI (using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 204.8 for the month under review, indicating a 2.1% rise compared with the month before and a year-on-year increase of 19.8%.
