Iran Telephone Directory Center that can be accessed by dialing 118 throughout the country will soon offer service in English and Arabic.
The directory is established and managed by the Telecommunication Company of Iran.
TCI chief Majid Sadri said, “With English and Arabic services we want to help tourists and foreign residents,” IRNA reported.
He did not say when the new services will be available. Services in other languages and local dialects are also planned.
The phone directory center, also available online at 118.tct.ir, is a database of millions of registered fix-line telephone numbers. It receives over one million phone calls every day.
