Exports to Oman is expected to double in this fiscal year compared to last year’s $375 million, Iran’s commercial attaché to the neighboring country, Abbas Abdolkhani said.  The current Iranian fiscal year started in March.  Abdolkhani sees strong growth potential in Iran’s exports of food and construction materials, the news service of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran reported. According to the data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, Iran exported more than 473,400 tons of non-oil goods worth $273 million to the Persian Gulf sultanate during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20-August 21), registering a 105% hike compared to the same period last year. Steel products, livestock, petrochemicals, copper, cement, eggs, carpet, saffron and rosewater were among the main exports. Muscat and Tehran have made known their decision to expand two-way commerce in the post-sanctions era.
