Iran exported 4.2 million tons of non-oil goods worth 2.17 billion to Turkey during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21), registering a 325% jump compared to the similar period a year before. According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, gas, copper, aluminum, steel, zinc, polyethylene, poly propylene, methanol, urea, watermelon, pistachio and raisin were among the main exports to the neighboring country. Meanwhile, more than 573,800 tons of goods worth $858.1 million were imported from Turkey to Iran during the same period to register a 19% decline. The main imports included bananas, grain, cigarette, tobacco, machinery, wood, cotton, beans, steel, pharmaceuticals, paper, shampoo and apparel.
