To bolster economic relations between Iran and Ecuador, their respective chambers of commerce need to play a more significant role, said the head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. Mohsen Jalalpour made the statement in a meeting with Ecuador’s Minister of Exterior Commerce Diego Aulestia Valencia on Monday. “Ecuador’s tropical agricultural produce can find their way to the Russian market through Iran,” Jalalpour noted. The Ecuadorian minister said he viewed Iran as the “hub of the region” and called on Iran to review its import tariff on goods from Ecuador to ease bilateral trade.  “Ecuador is willing to open a trade office in Tehran to improve interactions with ICCIMA,” he added.
