Iran will provide its citizens with specialized life insurance policies, announced the president of Central Insurance of Iran.”The first specialized life insurance will be offered soon,” Abdolnasser Hemmati was also quoted as saying by IBENA. The official noted that the share of life portfolio in insurance policies has risen considerably. “Since 2013, the share of life insurance in the basket of insurances has increased by 70%,” he said. Noting that life insurance now holds a 14% share among all insurances, Hemmati said in other countries, the same share is as high as 60%, “which shows that our life insurance share is still low and need to be improved by making extensive efforts”.
