Classic Cars on Show in Shiraz

A vintage car show will be held at Pars Stadium in the southern city of Shiraz, Fars Province, on Friday and more than 200 vintage cars from across the country will be on display. 
Car enthusiasts will see models older than three decades, Mehr News Agency reported. 
According to Mohammad Golriz, an official with the Motorcycle and Automobile Community in the ancient city, "Such shows add to the city's tourist attraction. After all these vintage cars more or less are part of our cultural heritage." 
Unique and masterful design of cars is certainly a part of their appeal, he added. 
Cars made by Mercedes-Benz, Chevrolet, Jaguar, Fiat, Toyota and Peugeot will be on show. 
Entry is free for the three-hour jamboree starting at 1 p.m. 
MAC is planning more shows in the upcoming Iranian year (begins on March 21), focusing on motorcycles, vehicle engines and more.
This is the third time that Shiraz hosts a vintage car show during the past two years. In addition, similar events have been held over the recent years in the provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Kordestan, Yazd, West and East Azarbaijan, and Khorasan Razavi.
